As previously discussed, I have been trying to get the speed limit on Brookwood Lye Road reduced. There was a fatal accident there a couple of years ago, and readers of previous entries of this blog will recall that a year ago, a speed study was commissioned and that it recommended a reduction to 40mph.
The traffic order for this has now been published and is now out to consultation. The image below shows the proposals.
If you wish to object to, or make any other representations relating to the proposed Order (including any representations in support), you must send the grounds of your objection or representations, in writing, to the undersigned, at Traffic Regulation Orders Team, Surrey County Council, Hazel House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, Surrey GU4 7BQ, by 13 September 2019.
I think this is a good idea and support it.
